If you have not yet received a shipping confirmation, the package is still in the depot of our shipping service provider.

This can have several reasons:

  1. Your order is missing important information such as engraving text, house number, and alike. We have contacted you in this regard and are waiting for a response. Please check your e-mail to see our message.
  2. If you paid using SOFORT transfer and prepayment, your payment is yet to be received by our bank account. This may take up to 5 business days.
  3. There may be delays on the part of our shipping service providers due to external influences, such as Covid-19.

Calisso Damascus knives remain particularly sharp for a long time due to the different hard layers of steel and iron, but even the best knife will one day lose sharpness. This can take between 1 and 10 weeks, depending on how often you use your knife. We recommend using a water grindstone to resharpen them. Grinding stones with different grits are particularly recommended so that the so-called "basic grind" can be performed first followed by the "fine grind". For the basic grinding we recommend a grit of 400-1000 and for the fine grinding a grit of over 3000.

When grinding, take into account the various cutting angles! The cutting angle is the angle on each side of the blade. Both cutting angles added together give the cutting burr.
